Roles & Responsibilities • Scrub and assist during cardiac catheterization procedures, including emergent cases and device support such as Impella and IABP • Monitor patient physiologic status and procedural data, documenting clearly and promptly • Prepare and maintain sterile fields, instruments, and imaging equipment for multiple cath lab modalities • Assist with peripheral vascular and EP lab procedures as needed, bringing versatile procedural support • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the cath lab team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care • Respond to on-call requests within the required 45-minute window and provide safe, efficient care during urgent activations
Qualifications • Ohio State licensure (required) • ARRT registration (required) • BLS and ACLS certifications (current) • Minimum 2+ years of current Cath Lab experience (required) • 1+ year of travel cath lab experience (preferred) • Experience with scrubbing, monitoring, and documentation in the cath lab environment • Comfortable assisting with Impella, IABP, peripheral vascular and EP lab procedures • Able to meet on-call response time and flexible to work occasional nights and one weekend per month
Knowledge & Skills • Strong radiologic skills and cardiac catheterization knowledge • Proficiency in scrubbing and intra-procedural monitoring • Thorough documentation practices and attention to detail • Familiarity with peripheral vascular procedures and EP lab workflows • Ability to work collaboratively in high-acuity, fast-paced settings • Good clinical judgment, infection control awareness, and equipment troubleshooting skills • Effective communication with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
