Cath Lab Technologist rotating on-call weekends (Fri 3:30 PM - Mon 7:00 AM every other weekend) and evening on-call coverage 3:30 PM - 7:00 AM as needed (Day / rotating on-call). Hours per uphold strict sterile technique and infection control practices. Document procedures, patient status and device data accurately in Cerner and Xper. Collaborate actively with physicians, nurses, and the multidisciplinary team to optimize patient care and throughput. Respond to on-call notifications within the required response time and provide capable support during after-hours and holiday coverage. Float between Cath, IR and EP suites as needed to meet unit demands and maintain continuity of care.
Qualifications • Minimum 2 years of relevant Cath Lab/IR/EP technologist experience required • Current ACLS and BLS certifications required; Fluoroscopy certification required • RCIS or ARRT technologist credential accepted depending on unit needs • EP lab experience preferred for travelers; travel experience is a plus • Able to respond to on-call notifications within 30 minutes • Comfortable floating between Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology and EP Lab • Familiarity with ventilators and acute care equipment is helpful
Education • BSN not required • Completion of an accredited cath lab, radiologic or cardiovascular technologist program preferred • Current state licensure/certification as required to practice
Knowledge & Skills • Proficient with Cerner electronic medical record and Xper imaging systems • Hands-on experience with fluoroscopy, cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology procedures • Knowledge of EP lab procedures including ablations and device implants • Skilled in venous access, port-a-cath placement, IVC filter procedures and device handling • Strong sterile technique, instrumentation management and procedural troubleshooting • Ability to work effectively on-call, prioritize under pressure and communicate clearly with clinicians
