MLT (Medical Laboratory Technician) implement process improvements to optimize throughput. Coordinate with IT/EMR teams on EPIC Beaker and LIS integrations and troubleshooting. Supervise use and maintenance of core instrumentation such as Abbott Alinity, Immucor ECHO, and Sysmex analyzers.
Qualifications • MLS certification (ASCP) required • MLT or MT certification accepted (AMT acceptable where noted) • Minimum of 1 year of prior lab manager or supervisory experience; job metadata lists 4 years of experience • Hands‑on experience with QC review, validation procedures, and CAP readiness • Experience with EPIC Beaker or other LIS/EMR systems • Strong leadership, communication, and staff development skills • Phlebotomy knowledge/oversight experience preferred (performing phlebotomy not required)
Education • MLS (ASCP) required • MLT/MT certification (AMT accepted) — certification required for submission • BS not required
Knowledge & Skills • Familiarity with EPIC Beaker and general LIS systems (Polytech/Avalon/Orchard/Apollo/etc.) • Operational knowledge of Abbott Alinity, Immucor ECHO, Sysmex XN3100, CA5100, and CA2500 • Clinical laboratory oversight across hematology, chemistry, coagulation, microbiology, serology, blood bank and anatomical pathology • Quality control, validation procedures, and regulatory (CAP) preparedness • Scheduling, productivity review, interviewing, and onboarding best practices • Strong troubleshooting and process improvement mindset
