Generalist Experience Needed Years of experience REQ: I would prefer applicants with at least 3 years of experience First-timers accepted: NO Education/Cert Required: Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Laboratory Technician by ASCP BOC or equivalent or relevant specialty lab certification. Experience REQUIRED: Generalist Experience Required Miscellaneous Radius rule? Yes, 60 miles. Are locals accepted? Yes, on a case-by-case basis. RTO Restrictions for Client Offers: All RTO must be included at time of submission. Approval will be based on facility needs. Guaranteed Hours: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks.
Medical Technologists support high quality laboratory testing in a clinical laboratory. MTs prepare specimens for testing, perform routine laboratory tests, perform specialized laboratory tests, perform quality control, troubleshoot quality control errors and maintenance procedures, recognize and evaluate computer data problems, troubleshoot laboratory instruments, perform preventative maintenance, communicate technical information to medical and lay persons, assist with training laboratory personnel in routine procedures, participate in continuing education, recognize normal and abnormal values, and model Standards of Behavior in daily interactions and activities.
