Roles & Responsibilities • Perform technical and analytical laboratory procedures in hematology, chemistry, special chemistry, microbiology, blood bank, serology, urinalysis, and coagulation as ordered by providers • Collect specimens and perform phlebotomy with attention to patient comfort and proper technique • Run routine and special tests accurately and enter verified results into the LIS when authorized • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation to minimize downtime • Execute and document quality control processes and participate in quality evaluations • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the healthcare team to ensure timely, clinically useful results • Adhere to Pagosa Springs Medical Center mission, vision, values, and laboratory safety policies
Qualifications • Hands-on experience performing clinical testing in one or more areas such as hematology, chemistry, microbiology, blood bank, serology, urinalysis, or coagulation • Experience with phlebotomy and specimen handling • Proven ability to perform instrument maintenance and troubleshoot laboratory analyzers • Familiarity with LIS result entry and electronic documentation • Comfort and availability to work night shifts (Monday-Thursday, 8:00 PM - 6:00 AM) • Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and commitment to quality and patient care
