Roles & Responsibilities • Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients, supporting activities of daily living (ADLs) • Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding and toileting while preserving dignity • Take and accurately record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team • Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices • Document care in the patient record with attention to detail and timeliness • Communicate clearly and respectfully with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team • Maintain infection control standards and support a clean, safe environment
Qualifications • Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification • Current state registry if required by New Mexico regulations • Comfortable working 12+ hour day shifts (6:00 AM - 6:30 PM) • Strong communication skills, compassion, and attention to detail • Willingness to pass required background checks and health screenings
Education • High school diploma or GED preferred • Completion of an accredited CNA program and current CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills • Patient care fundamentals and assistance with ADLs • Taking and documenting vital signs accurately • Basic infection control and safety practices • Safe patient handling and transfer techniques • Clear documentation and effective team communication
