Roles & Responsibilities • Provide compassionate, resident-centered care to older adults as a GNA • Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding) with dignity and respect • Monitor resident condition and promptly report any changes to the nursing team • Support safe mobility and fall-prevention practices during night hours • Accurately document care, observations, and any incidents in facility records • Maintain infection control standards and a clean, safe environment • Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to support resident care plans
Qualifications • Current Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification required • CPR/BLS certification preferred or required per facility policy • Ability to work nights and be flexible with per-diem scheduling • Comfort working with older adults and supporting activities of daily living • Pass background checks and health screenings (TB/PPD, immunizations) as required by the facility • Strong communication skills and ability to work well on a team
Education • High school diploma or GED preferred • GNA certification (required)
Knowledge & Skills • Knowledge of resident care principles and geriatrics • Skilled in assisting with ADLs and safe patient transfers • Ability to observe, document, and escalate clinical changes appropriately • Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols • Teamwork, reliability, and compassionate bedside manner
