Geriatric Nursing Assistant Location: Brooklyn Park, MD Contract Type: Per-Diem Shift Type: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC (night shift, schedule varies) Hours per Week: 40

Roles & Responsibilities
• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to geriatric residents including assistance with activities of daily living
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report observations to nursing staff
• Support safe transfer and mobility practices to promote independence
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and resident behavior
• Assist with mealtime, hygiene, and comfort measures while preserving dignity
• Collaborate with the care team to implement person-centered care plans
• Create a warm, respectful environment that helps residents feel at home

Qualifications
• Active GNA certification or equivalent credential
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable working the night shift and flexible scheduling
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility health requirements
• Previous experience in long-term care or geriatrics is a plus

Education
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• GNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills
• Knowledge of basic geriatric care principles and safety protocols
• Skillful in personal care, toileting, feeding assistance, and repositioning
• Good documentation and basic charting skills
• Ability to observe and report subtle changes in resident condition
• Compassion, patience, and strong customer service for residents and families
