Geriatric Nursing Assistant – UHC Staffing Geriatric Nursing Assistant Location: Brooklyn Park, MD Contract Type: Per-Diem Shift Type: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC Hours per Week: 40

Roles & Responsibilities
• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to geriatric residents, assisting with daily living activities
• Monitor residents’ condition and promptly report changes to the nursing team
• Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Assist with bathing, dressing, feeding and toileting while preserving dignity
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and observations
• Help create a warm, home-like environment and engage residents in social interaction

Qualifications
• Current GNA certification (state-recognized) required
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable working night shift and adapting to resident needs overnight
• Compassionate demeanor, strong communication skills, and a team-player attitude
• Previous experience in long-term care or geriatric settings is a plus

Education
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• State-recognized GNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills
• Knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic nursing assistant duties
• Basic infection control and safety practices
• Ability to follow care plans and communicate observations clearly
• Competence with resident lifting/transfer techniques and safe handling
• Good time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
