Roles & Responsibilities • Provide compassionate, hands-on care to geriatric residents, assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, toileting and grooming • Assist with safe transfers, mobility and ambulation, using proper body mechanics and equipment • Take and report basic clinical observations such as vital signs and changes in resident condition to nursing staff • Document care accurately in resident records and communicate clearly with the interdisciplinary care team • Support mealtime assistance and feeding when needed, ensuring dignity and comfort • Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control and safety protocols
Qualifications • GNA certification (Class: GNA) — required as indicated by the posting • Current state nursing assistant registration or certification per facility policy • CPR/BLS certification preferred • Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to resident care • Ability to pass standard background checks and health screenings required by the facility
Knowledge & Skills • Hands-on experience or familiarity with geriatric care and assisting with ADLs • Basic clinical knowledge such as taking vital signs and reporting changes • Good documentation practices and attention to detail • Infection control procedures and safe patient handling • Teamwork, patience and strong interpersonal skills
