Certified Nursing Assistant
Location: Florence, AL
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Per diem / as scheduled, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (day shift)
Hours per Week: 36

Roles & Responsibilities
• Provide compassionate direct patient care, assisting residents with activities of daily living
• Perform routine vital signs, bathing, grooming, feeding, and mobility assistance
• Document care accurately and promptly in the patient record
• Report changes in patient condition to nursing staff and participate in team care planning
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents
• Follow infection control, safety protocols, and facility procedures at all times
• Support admissions, discharges, and transfers as needed to ensure smooth transitions

Qualifications
• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass required background check, drug screen, and health screenings
• Comfortable working 12-hour day shifts and assisting with physical patient care
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus

Education
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA training program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills
• Proficiency in basic patient care tasks and ADL assistance
• Accurate vital signs collection and documentation
• Patient lifting, transfer techniques, and safe mobility support
• Infection control practices and adherence to standard precautions
• Effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Time management and ability to prioritize tasks in a busy care setting
