Certified Nursing Assistant Location: Gettysburg, PA Contract Type: Per-Diem Shift Type: Evening shift, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Shift 2), days not specified / schedule may vary Hours per Week: 40
Roles & Responsibilities • Provide compassionate direct patient care and support daily living activities • Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility needs • Measure and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team • Support safe transfers and maintain safe patient environments • Document care delivered in a clear, timely, and accurate manner • Communicate effectively with nurses, patients, and family members to ensure coordinated care • Adhere to infection control practices and facility safety protocols
Qualifications • Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential (required) • Active CNA registration or licensure in Pennsylvania (or ability to obtain) • Compassionate patient-centered attitude and strong interpersonal skills • Ability to work the 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM shift and adapt to facility scheduling needs • Basic knowledge of patient safety, infection control, and ADLs • Reliable, punctual, and ready to be part of a collaborative care team
Education • High school diploma or GED preferred • Current CNA certification (required)
Knowledge & Skills • Comfortable assisting with activities of daily living and basic patient hygiene • Skilled at taking and accurately recording vital signs • Strong observational skills to notice and report patient changes • Clear communication and teamwork with nurses and interdisciplinary staff • Familiarity with basic infection control and safety procedures • Good documentation practices and attention to detail
