Roles & Responsibilities • Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living • Support nurses and the care team by reporting changes in patient condition promptly • Assist with mobility, transfers, bathing, dressing, and feeding as needed • Document care accurately and courteously in the facility charts • Maintain a safe, clean, and respectful environment for residents • Build trusting relationships with residents and families through clear communication
Qualifications • Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification • Active placement/registration on the appropriate state CNA registry or willingness to obtain it • Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening as required by facility • Clean background check and ability to pass facility onboarding checks • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset • Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
Education • High school diploma or GED preferred • CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills • Patient lifting, transferring, and basic mobility assistance • Personal care skills: bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding • Basic charting and documentation practices • Infection control and hand hygiene procedures • Ability to follow care plans and report observations clearly • Compassionate bedside manner and patience with geriatric population
