Certified Nursing Assistant

Roles & Responsibilities
• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Assist patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting needs
• Measure and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team
• Support safe patient mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics
• Document care accurately and communicate effectively with nurses and families
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
• Participate in team huddles and follow individualized care plans

Qualifications
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (state-required credential)
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and performing hands-on patient care
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and health screenings as required
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-focused attitude

Education
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills
• Knowledge of basic patient care techniques and infection control
• Familiarity with measuring/recording vital signs and intake/output
• Ability to follow care plans and nursing direction accurately
• Good time management and ability to multitask in a clinical setting
• Compassion, patience, and strong interpersonal skills with patients and families
