Certified Nursing Assistant

Location: North Cape May, NJ
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Days: Not specified, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, day shift
Hours per Week: 40

Roles & Responsibilities
• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Assist with safe transfers, mobility, and positioning to promote patient comfort
• Monitor, record, and report patient condition and vital signs accurately
• Support the nursing team by following care plans and delegated tasks
• Maintain infection control and safety standards for patients and staff
• Communicate clearly and kindly with patients, families, and team members
• Document care timely and accurately in the patient record

Qualifications
• Valid CNA certification (required, NJ preferred)
• Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Previous CNA experience preferred, but motivated new CNAs are encouraged to apply
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited CNA program

Knowledge & Skills
• Strong fundamentals in basic patient care and ADLs
• Knowledge of infection control practices and safety procedures
• Skill with patient transfers, mobility support, and safe lifting techniques
• Good documentation and time-management habits
• Comfortable working as part of an interdisciplinary care team
• Professional, compassionate communication with patients and families
