CT Tech - Radiology (rotating holidays, weekends and on-call as needed) Hours per Week: 36
Roles & Responsibilities • Perform all routine CT exams with excellent attention to image quality and patient safety • Execute invasive CT procedures when required, maintaining strict sterile and safety practices • Start IVs for contrast administration when needed and monitor patients during imaging • Operate and optimize the GE 64-slice CT scanner to produce diagnostic-quality studies • Document procedures and findings accurately in EPIC and communicate results to the care team • Provide compassionate patient care, explaining procedures and addressing patient concerns • Collaborate with radiologists and fellow technologists to streamline workflow and improve outcomes • Participate in on-call rotations and cover weekend or holiday needs as required
Qualifications • ARRT certification (required) • CT certification (required) • BLS (required) • Minimum of 2 years of CT imaging experience preferred • Experience with GE 64-slice CT or similar multi-slice CT platforms • Comfortable performing routine and invasive CT procedures • IV insertion skills preferred (candidates able to start IVs are prioritized) • Familiarity with EPIC EMR is a plus • Friendly, adaptable team player with strong communication skills
Education • Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or related field preferred • Completion of accredited radiologic technology program and ARRT certification required
Knowledge & Skills • Proven expertise in CT imaging protocols and radiation safety • Hands-on experience with GE 64-slice CT scanners or equivalent • Solid understanding of contrast administration and patient monitoring • Proficiency using EPIC or similar EMR systems for documentation • Strong patient care skills and ability to manage 1:1 patient interactions • Good clinical judgment, attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot equipment • Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary radiology team
