Rad Tech ensure proper use of radiation badge supplied by the agency
Provide compassionate patient positioning, preparation and education to reduce repeat imaging and improve outcomes Adhere to infection control and quality assurance standards to support a safe clinical environment
Qualifications • ARRT (R) certification required • BLS (AHA) certification required • Minimum 2 years of relevant radiology experience (fluoroscopy, general X-ray, C-arm and portable experience required) • Comfortable using EPIC and PACS/Fuji Synapse systems • Ability to be in-state for the week of orientation and meet a 60-mile radius requirement (drivers license must be submitted) • Ability to work rotating schedules including nights and weekends
Knowledge & Skills • Fluoroscopy techniques and safety • General radiographic positioning and protocols • C-arm operation and mobile/portable X-ray proficiency • Experience with EPIC charting and Fuji Synapse/PACS image management • Familiarity with GE radiology equipment • Strong patient communication, triage and clinical teamwork skills • Radiation safety practices and badge monitoring
