Our Client is currently seeking Radiology Technologist for positions in Fargo, North Dakota for a 5x8 Evenings, 15:00:00-23:00:00, 8.00-5 shift. The ideal candidate will possess a current Certification in North Dakota. This is a Radiologic Technologist position in the Radiology Tech type:Radiology.

Unit Notes: Local travelers: Can take a traveler who lives within 80 miles of the facility.
MUST Haves: • Min 2 years of recent related work experience • Experience with GE mobile units, OR and PACU mobile x-ray experience • Experience with a variety of c-arms to include: OEC, Phillips, and Siemens • BLS - must be AHA • Active ND state license (NDMIRT) or willing to apply upon acceptance of offer • Active ARRT certification in good standing
This location is an orthopedic/sports medicine hospital with an urgent care. Traveler will work in the OR doing c-arm scans and scans for the urgent care center. Will need to stay until last urgent care patient has been seen.
General job duties. Types of procedures required. • Performs diagnostic imaging examinations on patients, ensuring the production of quality diagnostic images. • Operates equipment to produce diagnostic images according to patient cases and relevant guidelines; ensures the quality of images is satisfactory for clinical purposes. • Procedures: Diagnostic Imaging on outpatients, inpatients, and Urgent Care patients; Operate Large and mini c-arms in the OR and Bioskills Teaching Lab; mobile x-rays on inpatients, in the OR, and PACU; operating a large c-arm for Pain Clinic procedures
Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. • Equipment: Carestream Ascend (Urgent Care); Phillips General Room with Carestream DRX intergrade; GE mobile units; variety of c-arms to include: OEC, Phillips, and Siemens; variety of mini c-arms to include FluoroScan and OEC • Computer Systems: EPIC Radiant and Sectra PACS
Required skills and minimum years of experience. • Ensures accurate patient positioning during radiographic procedures; conducts image operations according to provider requests and other technical factors. • Implements radiation safety guidelines and conducts proper radiation protection practices during the imaging process. • Delivers excellent patient care and education before, during, and after diagnostic imaging procedures. • Ability to understand and navigate the electronic medical record (EMR) system. • Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned.
Shift or schedule requirements. • Varying weekday shifts: 530 AM to 2 PM, 7 AM to 330 PM, 730 AM to 4 PM, 8 AM to 430 PM, 815 AM to 445 PM, 830 AM to 5 PM, 1230 AM to 830 pm (Staff cannot leave until the last patient has left the Urgent Care). • Weekday shifts include a 30-minute lunch break • This position will include working the evening shift from 12pm to 830 pm. • Weekend hours are 8am-630 pm (Staff cannot leave until the last patient has left the Urgent Care). • Weekend shifts do not include a 30-minute lunch break. • Weekends, holidays, and call are required on a rotational basis. • Technologist can expect to work/be on call approximately every 3rd or 4th weekend • Call Hours: Weekdays: 5pm-7am & Weekend: 24 hours • Technologist works independently after 5pm on weekdays and on the weekend shifts • Support from an on-call technologist during independent working hours • No surgical services on weekends and most cases on weekdays are completed by 5 pm
Floating to other units/departments or locations: Will float to the Ortho clinic, primarily ortho Urgent Care
Dress Code: Hospital issued blue surgical scrubs are required during weekdays Pain Clinic and weekends: technologist may wear grey scrubs
Tell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program. The employee would experience 2 days of Sanford Specific Orientation. Department training will involve the technologist being paired with a preceptor to complete orientation on all equipment, protocols, and policies. A checklist will be reviewed for every piece of equipment. The length of orientation is tailored to each technologist s experience.
