Our Client is currently seeking Interventional Radiology Technologist for positions in Louisville, Kentucky for a 4x10 Nights, 19:00:00-05:00:00, 10.00-4 shift. Job Summary: Must demonstrate thorough knowledge of the human anatomy, physiology, as well as image quality. He/she must be able to communicate to patients the nature of the exam and relieve their anxiety. Must demonstrate an understanding of patient positioning, imaging technique, radiation safety, imaging equipment, infection control, and quality control techniques. Demonstrates the ability to supervise students providing patient care, treatment and services as part of their training.
Job Responsibilities: • Applies knowledge to produce high quality diagnostic images with use of professional knowledge to meet or exceed department guidelines. • Assumes responsibility for maintaining professional competence through participation in continuing education. • Takes a customer service approach in all interactions with internal and external customers. • Communicates clearly and concisely with all levels of individuals while complying with confidentiality requirements. • Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to any age related needs of the patients served in the assigned practice. These skills include: age appropriate communication skills, safety needs, patient teaching, and physical/functional growth and development. • Use imaging equipment, PACS and EPIC to process and retain images and exam related information. • Use radiation safety technique and devices to minimize radiation exposure to patient and staff.
