Roles & Responsibilities • Prepare patients for angiographic and cath lab procedures with compassionate, thorough care • Set up sterile trays and assist with sterile technique to maintain a safe procedural environment • Operate and optimize radiographic equipment and generators to achieve high-quality images • Perform quality control checks and process cine radiographic images for clinician review • Use hemodynamic monitors, oxygen saturation equipment and cardiac output computers during procedures • Assist physicians and cath lab staff during procedures to ensure smooth, efficient case flow • Provide post-cath care and participate in room cleanup and turnover to keep the lab running
Qualifications • Cath Lab Tech experience — required (demonstrated, specialty-specific experience) • Active ARRT certification — required • Active American Heart Association BLS — required • Active American Heart Association ACLS — required • Current skills checklist for cath lab procedures (within 1 year) — required • Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years — required • Ability to follow sterile technique and operate radiographic and hemodynamic equipment • Applicants must follow facility submission rules: provide permanent address (facility has a 50-mile local restriction) and submit scheduling requests at time of application
Education • Active ARRT certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) — required
Knowledge & Skills • Radiographic equipment operation and cine radiography • Sterile tray setup and strict sterile technique • Hemodynamic monitoring and cardiac output measurement • Oxygen saturation studies and pacemaker operation • Patient preparation and post-cath care • Familiarity with Epic electronic medical record
