House Supervisor Location: Arcata, CA Start Date: 04-06-2026 End Date: 08-24-2026 Contract Type: Travel Contract Shift Type: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (days not specified) Hours per Week: 36

Roles & Responsibilities
• Supervise night-shift clinical operations to ensure patient safety and smooth flow
• Provide leadership and decision-making support for nursing staff during the night
• Float to the ER, ICU, and Med/Surg to cover meal period breaks and critical staffing gaps
• Triage escalations and coordinate resources across units to maintain care standards
• Mentor and support bedside nurses by offering guidance, clinical oversight, and escalation when needed
• Document supervisory actions, handoffs, and any incidents clearly and professionally
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address patient needs and operational challenges

Qualifications
• Active California RN license (required)
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (required)
• NRP certification preferred
• Proof of negative TB screening within 12 months of contract start
• Demonstrated experience in house supervision or leadership roles and float coverage
• Comfortable working night shifts and responding to fast-paced clinical needs

• Strong clinical judgment and escalation management
• Excellent communication, documentation, and team coordination
• Ability to cover meal period breaks and adjust staffing allocation
