General Skills and Work Setting Requirements: CV3 ICU is a cardiovascular intensive care unit. We specialize in taking care of a specific population of patients that include patients with LVADS, balloon pumps, swan catheters, temporary pacemakers, femoral and venous sheaths, arterial lines, TR bands, patients on CRRT. We are a 10 bed CV ICU. We have an intensivist present in the unit Monday-Friday. We have multidisciplinary rounds with the intensivist and care team at 10 am everyday Monday-Friday. My nurses typically carry 2 patients, and we run with a free charge nurse. We titrate cardiac gtts, vasoactive medications and any sedation for patients that are intubated. A lot of patient's will have AAA repairs done and when they come back from these procedures they have to lay flat for a specific amount of hours. We keep a close eye on the patients and effective communication is extremely important between the nurses, physicians and care team.

Submittal Details: Compliance Document Deadline is the Tuesday prior to Start. Please only submit to your candidate's FIRST choice and acknowledge your candidate's openness or flexibility to other Piedmont locations, units and shifts in the submission email. Perm Staff Rule: MUST be away for 1 FULL YEAR from all Piedmont facilities to return as traveler. GA or Compact license must be in hand at time of submittal. References: TWO supervisory references are HIGHLY preferred at time of submission, some units require two on the profile to review. Must be Manager or above - charge not accepted. RTO: MAX 7 days; RTO required with submission.
HOLIDAY RTO POLICY: • If one or two major holidays occur during assignment period, travelers are expected to be available to work the holiday(s), - NO HOLIDAY RTO CAN BE REQUESTED. • If three major holidays occur during assignment period, the travelers are expected to be available to work two of the holidays. ONE HOLIDAY RTO Request can be reviewed for approval.
