Minimum 2 years experience. Previous Travel experience required. 3x12s, Nights, 7p-730aEvery other weekend (Saturday and Sunday). No call. Float required as needed. RNs will be required to work as Charge RN if needed. BLS required. Charge RN experience REQUIRED.
29 bed unit that provides care from adulthood through geriatrics to orthopedic patients, as well as medical surgical patients. Telemetry monitoring is also available. The department has a physical therapy gym on the unit that allows the patients to get adequate physical therapy without having to leave the unit.
High volume patient populations include patients who have had total joint replacements, fracture repairs, and kyphoplasties.
Moderate volume patient populations include other types of surgical procedures, inpatient and 24-hour observation patients that are medical patients.
This unit does also accommodate ED patients, sometimes with high acuity. Mon Thursdays the Ortho patients are sent to the perioperative suites. Special Equipment : CPMs and Buck's Traction occasionally Neck and back braces
