• Travelers will need to pass a dysrhythmia exam PRIOR TO SIGNING CONTRACT (2 MAX ATTEMPTS), within 48 hours of offer. If traveler fails, they will be sent home and made a DNU for 6 months for CSH AZ and CSH Sac regions • There is also a pass/fail Sim Lab on day one of orientation. If traveler fails Sim, they will be sent home and made a DNU for 6 mo
• Will float between all Tele and MedSurg units. Floating is required. Depending on skill level, nurses will float to ICU, Cardiac Tele, as well as all Tele units, MedSurg, any & every holding area (this could be in the Cath Lab, ER, observation floor, even a hallway) They staff the observation floor 1st, then the other units. Floating would include between Chandler & Mercy Gilbert campuses. Notification of campus and unit given 1.5 hrs prior to shift start. Floating to different units mid-shift can happen. Rare to float to another campus within a single shift, but possible. The distance between the 2 campuses is 9 miles. Depending on traffic takes 15 minutes. All interstate. Must clock-out when leaving one campus then clock-in when arrive at the other campus.
***Tele B3A*** • Unit: CV Tele B3A • # beds:32 bed • Certs: BLS, ACLS • Ratios: 1:3-4 • Charge Nurse: Yes, no patient assignment. Also have a Clinical Supervisor in a management role. • Techs: PCTs - 1 per every 16 patients. • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend. • Scrub Color: Navy • Tele: Centralized tele. RNs must be able to interpret EKGs. • Vents: No • Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Hospitalist rounds during the day and on call at night. • IV Team: No • RT 24/7: Yes • Pharmacy 24/7: Yes • Shifts: 12 hr shifts. 7-7. • Floating: To similar or lower acuity. • Floor specific orientation: 2 days on the floor. • Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Post cath lab, post vascular procedures, day 2 CABG patients, general tele. Amio, Cardene, Nitro, Heparin, Dobutamine to titrate down ONLY. No pediatrics, 15 y/o and older.
***Tele Neuro*** • Unit: A3 Neuro • # beds: 28 bed • Certs: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS • Ratios: 1:3-4 • Charge Nurse: Yes, no patient assignment. Also have a Clinical Supervisor in a management role. • Techs: PCTs - 1 per every 16 patients. • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend. • Scrub Color: Navy • Tele: Centralized tele. **Medical-Surgical C5** • Unit: MedSurg C5 • # beds: 32 beds. Ortho, Surgical, Oncology • Certs: BLS, ACLS • Ratios: 1:4 ratio days and nights. • Charge Nurse: Yes, does not take patients. Also has Unit Supervisor. • Nurse Aides: PCTs on days. 1 PCT or Task RN at night. • Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per 4 week period (days - Sat, Sun, nights - Fri, Sat). One major and minor holiday. • Scrub Color: Navy • Tele: GE Monitors. Central monitoring station tech to read. • Vents: NA • Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Must call Physician. • IV Team: No. House SWAT Nurse available for hard IV sticks. • RT 24/7: Yes • Pharmacy 24/7: Yes, ICU Pharmacist covers on days. • Shifts: 12 hrs. 7-7. • Floating: Float to MedSurg Tele B2C and B2D • Floor specific orientation: 2 shifts on the floor. • Common diagnosis / Types of patients: 80% Surgical, 20% Oncology. Ortho - JHACO certified knee and hip program. 8-10 elective knee/hips per week. Other - Urological, Abdominal, Whipple, Women's surgeries (no OBGyn). • Additional Notes: Spectralink phones (call light attached to phone)

Also has Unit Supervisor. • Nurse Aides: PCTS on days. 1 PCT or SWAT RN at night to task. • Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per 4 week period (days - Sat, Sun, nights - Fri, Sat).
