** 1year experience needed ** What is needed is a strong cardiac ICU exp which usually is CCU or CVICU. This exp is needed because of the cardiac devices and cardiac dx that our patients often have. For example: LVAD, Impella, IABP, TVP are advanced cardiac devices that only CVICU or a strong CCU/ Cardiopulmonary ICU are trained to take. Cardiac/ medical intensive care patients as well as some step down overflow. Impella/ IABP/ vent/ CRRT/invasive lines/Hemodynamic monitoring.
Required: ACLS / BLS / NIH / Interpretation of dysrhythmias / Management of dysrhythmias / Post Cardiac Surgery (Not directly from the OR) / Pre/Post Cardiac Cath/intervention / Sheath Removal Patient Ratio exp: 2:1 Shift: 3 x 12 hr

Will consider nurses with 1+ years of recent experience in unit. Orientation is every Monday. Pre Assignment testing (all RN s) and modules required for all travelers to complete within 48 hours of receiving the login information (which usually comes within 24 hours of the nurse signing their contract). Travelers are eligible for reimbursement for hours spent completing modules (up to 16 hours) and time will be verified upon start of contract. EMR experience: 1-year minimum experience with EPIC EMR required.
Floating: Prisma Health s goal is to keep staff in their home unit. However, it is a requirement for all assignments that agency staff, regardless of unit or facility, must float to other Prisma Health units and/or campuses per request due to census concerns. Staff will only be floating to units they are qualified for and performing tasks for which competencies have already been demonstrated and documented.
Modules: • Modules are billable, up to 16 hours • Modules are completed pre-start and not included in NBO, and completed annually • Modules are recorded in transcripts by Prisma Health, time is not entered into timecards
