Summary of Required Skills: Clinicians must be proficient in starting IVs, accessing ports, managing PICC & central lines, peripheral IV care, & blood product administration. Respiratory skills include HFNC, nasal cannula, and trach management. Cardiac monitoring requires telemetry (remote), dysrhythmia interpretation and management and Rapid Response Team use. Neuro experience must cover CVA, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, & pre/post neurosurgery. Additional requirements: feeding tube care, PCA & heparin protocols, continuous bladder irrigation, isolation precautions, & surgical drain management. Floating: While Prisma Health prioritizes keeping staff in their home unit, agency staff are required to float to other units or campuses as needed. Special Equipment: - Travel Compliance Extensions: Effective 2/1/26 (Nursing only, excluding CVOR) Travelers cannot extend for a 4 th consecutive contract. Travelers will need to begin the process of converting to an employee status after working their third consecutive 13-week contract or after 39 weeks. If the traveler does not wish to convert to a team member status, they will be required to take a minimum six-month separation before they are eligible to return as a traveler for the organization. Travelers must be 100 miles from every Prisma facility (regardless of where they are applying) to be eligible to travel in the system, unless they are one of the two exceptions below. Travelers are eligible for reimbursement for hours spent completing modules (up to 16 hours) and time will be verified upon start of contract. EMR experience: 1-year minimum experience with EPIC EMR required Floating: Prisma Health s goal is to keep staff in their home unit. However, it is a requirement for all assignments that agency staff, regardless of unit or facility, must float to other Prisma Health units and/or campuses per request due to census concerns. Staff will only be floating to units they are qualified for and performing tasks for which competencies have already been demonstrated and documented.
