Registered Nurse - PreOp/PACU day shift open/closer rotation, includes on-call responsibilities and every 3rd–4th weekend coverage Hours per NIHSS preferred PACU or Phase I PACU experience preferred; Level I trauma experience preferred Previous charge nurse experience is a plus Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions allowed); COVID-19 vaccine not required per facility guideline
Knowledge & Skills • Pre-op assessment and pre/post operative procedures • Cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia recognition and management • Arterial line, central line and Swan-Ganz (pulmonary artery) monitoring and care • IV therapy, blood product administration and phlebotomy • Airway assessment, chest tube management and ABG interpretation • Familiarity with cardiac and vascular surgery cases (CABG, TAVR, AAA repair, EVAR, etc.) • Strong perioperative patient education and consent process skills • Comfortable working in a fast-paced teaching hospital environment and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
