Registered Nurse - ICU NIHSS required Proficiency with EPIC charting system required Demonstrated skills in IV start, telemetry monitoring and ventilator management Teaching hospital experience required; previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred Ability and willingness to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity
Knowledge & Skills • Ventilator management and care of ventilated patients • Telemetry and cardiac monitoring including dysrhythmia interpretation and 12-lead EKGs • Titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips and emergency medication administration • Management of arterial lines, central lines, PICCs and blood product administration • Neurological monitoring: EVD, ICP monitoring, NIHSS and acute stroke care • Respiratory support skills: HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP, suctioning, ABG interpretation • Familiarity with post-cardiac surgery care (CABG, sheath removal) and hemodynamic monitoring (Swan-Ganz) • Strong infection prevention practices, isolation precautions and safe phlebotomy
