Registered Nurse - Emergency Department variable nights (specific days vary), every other weekend required; must be willing to float between campuses. Hours per pending licenses are not accepted. Minimum 3 years of Emergency Room (ER) experience. Required note facility indicates first-timers may be accepted in some cases. Ability and willingness to float between campuses and work nights/every-other-weekend.
Education Active RN license required; specific degree not stated (Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing commonly accepted).
Knowledge & Skills • Emergency nursing fundamentals: triage, rapid assessment, trauma protocols • Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation/management • Airway management, intubation, ventilator care and ABG interpretation • Chest tube insertion/management, arterial and central line care • IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, and medication management (vasopressors, sedation/paralytics) • Procedural sedation administration and monitoring • Pediatric emergency care and psychiatric emergency management • Use of Epic for documentation and interdisciplinary communication • Familiarity with Level I/II trauma center workflows and emergency response
