Registered Nurse - ER MS nights with an every-3rd Friday/Saturday/Sunday rotation; includes holiday rotation (assignment will include at least one holiday) Hours per Week: 36
Roles & Responsibilities • Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical patients and step in to the ER when needed • Perform rapid and accurate patient assessments and prioritize care in an emergency setting • Triage incoming emergency patients and initiate appropriate interventions • Collaborate with the ED and med-surg team to ensure seamless patient transitions • Document care clearly and timely, and complete required specialty competency testing and checklists • Participate in holiday and unit rotations as scheduled to support continuous patient coverage
Qualifications • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license (State RN License verification required) • BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required • Experience in Emergency Nursing and Medical-Surgical Nursing preferred • Ability to pass Trinity specialty competency testing and skills checklist • Required pre-employment health items: fit test, 10-panel drug screen, immunizations (Tdap, MMR, Hep B, Varicella, Influenza), COVID-19 vaccine, 2-step PPD or IGRA, and physical/health statement
Knowledge & Skills • Strong triage and emergency assessment skills • Solid medical-surgical nursing knowledge and multi-patient management • Proficiency with stroke assessment using NIHSS • Calm, decisive critical thinking under pressure • Team-focused communication and the ability to move between med-surg and ED roles fluidly
