Local Rules • Locals are not accepted within 50 miles of Main campus (Cape Fear Valley Medical Center) • References not required at time of submittal • Candidate may float within hospital or sister campus depending on booking • Background and License hits: No hits will be approved that occurred within the last year. • Return Staff Policy (gone 1 yr to return as traveler) • Extensions: Facility has a 2 contract limit for days and a 3 contract limit for nights. After reaching extension limits, travelers must wait 6 months before being eligible to reapply as a traveler • If your traveler is in any of the following specialties, please note they will need to pass an Advanced EKG exam as a part of compliance: ED, Peds ED, Psych ED, ICUs, PACU, RTs, Step Down, Tele, Ms/Tele, HRSH • Extensions: Travelers may only extend once if they are on day shift. If they are on night shift they can extend twice. Only exception for this rule is Radiology. • Compliance Note: vaccine exemption requests must be sent ASAP to avoid delays.
