Roles & Responsibilities • Provide high-quality critical care to patients in a 19-bed mixed ICU/Step-Down unit • Manage neuro patients and care for external ventricular drain and EBD drain management • Float between the ICU and PMCU to support patient needs at a 3:1 ratio • Document patient care accurately and efficiently in Epic • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the multidisciplinary team to coordinate care • Support trauma, vascular, and cardiothoracic patient populations as required
Qualifications • Current California RN license (required) • Epic experience within the last year (must pass Epic pre-assessment) • Neuro experience and comfort managing EBD drains • Minimum two years of RN experience • TNCC and trauma experience preferred • Ability and willingness to float between ICU and PMCU (step-down) units
Knowledge & Skills • Critical care and ICU/Step-Down clinical skills • Neuro nursing knowledge, including drain management • Proficiency with Epic electronic medical record • Experience with trauma, vascular, and cardiothoracic patient care • Ability to function in a 3:1 patient ratio environment • Strong teamwork, communication, and prioritization skills
