Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery 13-week assignment with a 36-hour guarantee
Hours per Week: 36

Roles & Responsibilities
• Provide skilled labor and delivery nursing care during night shifts using evidence-based practice
• Circulate and support C-section procedures and manage immediate post-anesthesia recovery
• Float to the postpartum unit as needed to ensure seamless patient care and safe transitions
• Perform continuous fetal monitoring and interpret tracings, escalating changes promptly
• Document patient care accurately in EPIC and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams
• Support newborn care during maternal recovery, collaborating with neonatal staff when needed
• Maintain a calm, patient-centered environment for families during labor, delivery and recovery

Qualifications
• EPIC experience required for documentation and care coordination
• Fetal Monitoring certification required
• Proven ability to circulate and recover C-section patients
• Experience or willingness to float to postpartum and support maternal recovery
• Neonatal care experience preferred
• Ability to work night shifts and fulfill every other weekend requirement for the duration of the assignment

Knowledge & Skills
• Proficient with EPIC electronic health record workflows
• Strong fetal monitoring and interpretation skills
• C-section circulation and post-anesthesia recovery competence
• Postpartum nursing skills and maternal/newborn safety practices
• Comfort with transitional newborn care during maternal recovery
• Excellent teamwork, communication and documentation habits
