Key Responsibilities: • Provide direct patient care in accordance with healthcare facility policies and procedures. • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. • Maintain accurate patient medical records and documentation. • Adhere to infection control standards and other regulatory requirements. • Educate patients and their families on healthcare plans and treatments. • Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs. • Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates an individual plan of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary health care team. • Provides explanations and instructions to patient/responsible person. • Demonstrate ability to use nursing clinical judgment to recognize and report changes in patient condition. • Contribute to a healthy workplace environment by managing conflict using professional communication skills. • Meets Core Measure responsibilities related to patient care. • Participate in continuing education. • Maintain complete and accurate medical records.

Additional Job Details: • Unit Name: Operating Room Herrin Hospital • 10 hr shifts- 4 days/week Shift 0800-1830 4days a week call required • Weekend/ Call Requirements: 1 weeknight and 2 weekend days a month for call requirements, possibly more depending on the need of the department/ Will float to other facilities if needed.
