Our Client is currently seeking Med Surg for positions in Hilo, Hawaii for a 3x12 Days, 07:00:00-19:00:00, 12.00-3 shift. The ideal candidate will possess a current Hawaii license. This is a RN position in the Med-surg Adult, Step Down. You must have a Nursing License and at least 2 years of recent experience as a RN Med Surg.

Shift: 12-hour shifts - Days (0645 to 1915) - Scheduled 36 hours per week following first week of orientat.
Any traveler not currently in possession of an active State of HI license must apply upon acceptance of offer. Candidate must have Hawaii License by start of assignment. Medical and religious exemption requests will not be accepted in lieu of documented proof of immunity.

Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. Meditech EMR; pyxis; wound vac; chest tubes.
Required skills and minimum years of experience. 2-10 years experience.
Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. BLS, ACLS (Preferred: PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, ENPC).
Floating to other units/departments. Medical Unit; Laulima Unit; Cardiovascular Unit (on rare occasions).
Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept. Medical - 77; Laulima (surgical Acute) - 18; Cardiovascular Unit - 15.
Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. Medical 1:6 for days and eves, 1:8 for nights Laulima 1:6 Cardiovascular 1:4. Ratio may vary due to unexpected leaves.
Dress Code. Professional nursing attire - clean scrubs.

Must arrive the Thursday before start in order to go to employee health appointment on Friday. Please do not accept the start date offered if they cannot be there on time.
