Our Client is currently seeking ED - Emergency Department for positions in Kankakee, Illinois for a 3x12 Nights, 19:00:00-07:00:00, 12.00-3 shift. The ideal candidate will possess a current Illinois license. This is a RN position in the SMKIL EMERGENCY SERVICES (70100). You must have a Nursing License and at least 2 years of recent experience as a RN ED - Emergency Department.

RN ED. Traveler. 36 GTD. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursingprocess of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope ofpractice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursingpersonnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing care in Telemetry. The Registered Nurse is directlyresponsible and accountable for the care given to his/her patients in the Emergency Department. Theycommunicate with the physician about the changes in the patient s clinical condition including results of thediagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is capable of responding quickly and accurately to changes in thecondition and/or response to treatment. Is knowledgeable about EMTALA regulations and reporting of child/adultabuse to appropriate agencies and Hospital Social Worker. Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.
Unit Description: • Current and valid state RN License. • Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current. • Current ACLS certificate upon hire and maintain current. • Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC upon hire and maintain current. • Basic Arrythmia Interpretation. • Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting; E.R. setting preferred. • Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred. • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
