Bed Types and How Divided: All 22 beds able to take Med/Surg/Tele Staffing Ratios: Telemetry: 4:1, Med/Surg: 5:1 Schedule Requirements: Call Required: Yes, for permanent staff Float Required: Per union contract. Required to float to any Med/Surg/Tele department to take patients. Required to task in all other departments. Weekend Coverage: Expectation attempt for every other weekend rotation. However, may adjust based on business need. Scheduling Type: Mixture of self-request and business need Medication System: Pyxis Documentation System: Cerner IV Teams: Monday-Friday, dayshift only. Depends on patient care of IV nurse. May not be available during dates and times. Lift Teams: No Pharmacy: 24/7 Phlebotomy: 24/7 Transportation: Monday-Friday, dayshift only. Unit Secretary: No Provider Coverage: Intensivist: 7 days a week, dayshift, nightshift coverage: over the phone, on-call Hospitalist: 24/7 Time Off Requests: • none over holiday • no longer than 2 weeks at a time • prefer no RTO during assignment Travelers must be able to take Med/Surg/Telemetry as part of assignment.
