Unit Specific Details: Bed Types and How Divided: All 22 beds able to take Med/Surg/Tele Staffing Ratios: • Telemetry: 4:1 • Med/Surg: 5:1 Schedule Requirements: • Call Required: Yes, for permanent staff • Float Required: Per union contract. Required to float to any Med/Surg/Tele department to take patients. Required to task in all other departments. • Weekend Coverage: Expectation attempt for every other weekend rotation. However, may adjust based on business need. • Scheduling Type: Mixture of self-request and business need Medication System: Pyxis Documentation System: Cerner IV Teams: Monday-Friday, dayshift only. Depends on patient care of IV nurse. May not be available during dates and times. Lift Teams: No Pharmacy: 24/7 Phlebotomy: 24/7 Transportation: Monday-Friday, dayshift only. Unit Secretary: No Provider Coverage: • Intensivist: 7 days a week, dayshift, nightshift coverage: over the phone, on-call • Hospitalist: 24/7 Time Off Requests: • none over holiday • no longer than 2 weeks at a time • prefer no RTO during assignment Travelers must be able to take Med/Surg/Telemetry as part of assignment. Must be able to float to other departments such as ED, ICU, OB to task only
