Registered Nurse - NICU primarily nights with variable schedule (exact start/end times and days provided by facility)
Roles & Responsibilities • Provide compassionate, evidence-based neonatal care for infants in the NICU • Perform neonatal resuscitation (NRP) and respond to emergent situations confidently • Monitor and document infant condition, interventions, and response using the facility EMR • Collaborate closely with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and the family to plan care • Administer medications and specialized therapies per unit protocols • Maintain competencies by completing Prime Core Competencies, skills checklists, and specialty exams • Participate in shift handoffs and multidisciplinary rounds to ensure continuity of care • Support and educate families, offering clear communication during stressful moments
Qualifications • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (California) required • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required • Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required • DCI/BVP certification required (as listed) • Completion of facility credential verification and required competency testing • Willingness to complete required health screening and immunizations prior to start
