Our Client is currently seeking OR - Operating Room for positions in Madison, Wisconsin for a 5x8 Days, 09:00:00-17:00:00, 8.00-5 shift. The ideal candidate will possess a current Wisconsin license. This is a RN position in the SURG/OR - PRE/POST & PACU - PreOp RN. You must have a Nursing License and at least 2 years of recent experience as a RN OR - Operating Room.

Experience: Pre-op and phase II Post-op RN assistance required. Traveler must have pre/post or procedural experience. Traveler must have completed two years of acute care experience within last 3 years. Epic experience required preferred within the last 12 months.
Licensure and Certification: Traveler must have WI nursing license or compact license from their permanent address state. BLS is required must be certified through American Heart Association ONLY ACLS is required - must be certified through American Heart Association ONLY
Telemetry Traveler must have Basic Arrhythmia experience. Traveler will be required to pass Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start.
The Preoperative and postoperative patient area has 23 rooms. Nurses are responsible for prepping patients that are inpatient and outpatient status for surgery. Outpatients will return for Phase II recovery to receive further pain management, recovery from anesthesia and discharge teaching before going home. Nurses are responsible for assessing, diagnosing, intervening, evaluating, coordinating, and facilitating care necessary in the immediate post anesthetic period for surgical patients.
Minimum Requirements: Facility Requirement: Traveler s permanent address must be 50 miles from assigned primary work site location. Floating: Travelers are the first to float. Depending on the current staffing needs, the traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units and/or at different locations within the organization. During the traveler s assignment, if the primary department no longer has a need, shifts will be re-assigned to another department in order to complete the contract. A telemetry exam will be required prior to start. The following criteria must be met in two attempts: Adult Exam: • 100% identification of lethal rhythms: Ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole • No incorrect answers on questions regarding 3rd degree heart blocks [1 incorrect answer will cause failure] • Passing score of 80% or higher Pediatric Exam • Ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole, and sinus bradycardia • Passing score of 80% or higher Attempts: Traveler will have two attempts to pass. If the individual does not pass on the second attempt their contract may be cancelled. If the traveler fails the second attempt they will submit a certificate of completion of a cardiac interpretation review course to before a third attempt will be assigned. If the traveler does not pass after three attempts will notify recruitment of the results. Recruitment will notify the hiring manager that the traveler s assignment will be cancelled.
