Our Client is currently seeking IMC - Intermediate Care Unit for positions in Madison, Wisconsin for a 3x12 Nights, 19:00:00-07:00:00, 12.00-3 shift. The ideal candidate will possess a current Wisconsin license. This is a RN position in the NURSING - ACUTE MED / PROG CARE D6/5. You must have a Nursing License and at least 2 years of recent experience as a RN IMC - Intermediate Care Unit.

Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)
Description: Traveler will work in both D6/5, IMC Acute Med/Progressive Care unit and B4/3, IMC Thoracic unit. Evening/Night, 12 hour shift, 7:00pm-7:30am. Monday through Friday with every other weekend and some holidays required. MS/Tele experience required Telemetry oncology, cardiac and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience preferred. Need vent and transplant experience. WI RN or compact RN license required. ACLS AND BLS - AHA required. Traveler will be required to pass Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start.

Specialty populations cared for on the unit include patients with a diagnosis of Cystic Fibrosis, pulmonary hypertension, and post lung transplant. • 29 beds unitGen Care (ratio 1:4)IMC (ratio 1:2) • Special Procedures/Unit Details: We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN): Work in a fast-paced environment, providing care to acutely ill surgical and trauma patients in an academic medical and Level 1 Trauma Center. Join a team of remarkable nurses and have the opportunity to care for both general care and IMC level patients in a 26-bed step down unit, where critical thinking and team work is a must. Work in a collaborative environment, where nurses are an integral part of the multidisciplinary team with a strong voice in advocating for quality patient care. Special Equipment: *** Must have experience in an Academic Level I or II trauma center or similar size hospital *** Must have completed 2 years of ACUTE CARE exp within the last 3 yearsNeed vent and transplant experience. Unit will not consider anyone who is not strongly proficient in these areas. Traveler will be required to pass Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start.
#Tier3 Travel Compliance • RTO Requirements: Manager will review/approve during candidate review process. Generally, no more than 2 weeks off in a contract. If the request is more than 1 week and is consecutive (no hours in the week), Vaya will add 1 week at the end of the contract. • Generally, all job postings will state that weekend rotations and some holidays will be required. Some units are stricter than others regarding holidays (ED allows for 1 holiday off). • Floating: Travelers are the first to float. The traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on the current staffing needs. During the traveler s assignment, if the primary unit no longer has a need, shifts will be re-assigned to another unit to complete contract. • Local Radius: 50 miles from the facility • Local Rule: locals are not accepted • 1st Time travelers accepted in some units • License: must be in hand at submittal • Minimum experience required: Inpatient RN travelers must have completed two years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty they are submitting to. This is a hard requirement. • References: please remove all references, no references will be accepted • Orientation Schedule: UWH orientation is held every other week typically on a Monday, but not all travelers will start on a Monday even if the contract has a Monday start. This is due to department specific orientation schedules. Travelers should follow the start date and time listed in their welcome letter and department schedule. Travelers will orient at 600 Highland Ave, room F8/170 (subject to change traveler should follow instructions in welcome letter). Orientation is typically about one week. Recruiters, please express this to candidates: • Pass/Fail Testing required with strict passing criteria. A telemetry exam will be required prior to start. The following criteria must be met in two attempts: • Adult Exam: • 100% identification of lethal rhythms: Ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole • No incorrect answers on questions regarding 3rd degree heart blocks [1 incorrect answer will cause failure] • Passing score of 80% or higher • Pediatric Exam • Ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole, and sinus bradycardia • Passing score of 80% or higher • Attempts: Traveler will have two attempts to pass. If the individual does not pass on the second attempt their contract may be cancelled. If the traveler fails the second attempt they will submit a certificate of completion of a cardiac interpretation review course to Vaya before a third attempt will be assigned. If the traveler does not pass after three attempts Vaya will notify recruitment of the results. Recruitment will notify the hiring manager that the traveler s assignment will be cancelled. • Competency Renewal: Travelers need to have an active telemetry competency on file per calendar
