Registered Nurse - Med Surg/Telemetry/Orthopedics
ACLS preferred
Comfortable with 12-hour shifts and rotating schedules
Willingness to complete unit orientation and pass the open-book skills exam with a 90% score
Able to collaborate with nursing staff, monitor techs and support staff in a busy acute care setting
Able to work within the radius rule restrictions (not currently FT/PT/PRN with CommonSpirit facilities)
Education
Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
BSN preferred but not required
Knowledge & Skills
Strong med-surg and orthopedic nursing knowledge
Telemetry awareness and ability to respond appropriately to monitor changes
Proficiency with EPIC charting and electronic documentation
Experience with IV drip titration and PCA pump management
Good assessment, prioritization and clinical decision-making skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills with diverse patient populations
Cultural competence and experience serving patients who speak Spanish, Karen and Burmese
Familiarity with mechanical lifts and safe patient handling practices
