Qualifications • Active RN license (state required) — License must be clear with no issues (NO license or background hits allowed) • Minimum 2 years of ICU/critical care or trauma nursing experience • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (must have current cards at time of submittal) • Drivers license required at submittal (used to verify radius eligibility) • Must not be a current full-time/part-time/PRN employee of facilities affiliated with CommonSpirit, CHI or Dignity • Previous travel nurse experience required (will not accept first-time travelers) • Ability to pass unit’s orientation skills exam (90% required to pass) and meet fingernail policy (no artificial nails)
Education • Active RN license required • BSN not required
Knowledge & Skills • Strong critical care and trauma nursing judgment and quick decision-making • Proficiency with EPIC charting and documentation workflows • Hands-on experience with ventilator management and troubleshooting • Competence in titration of drips (vasopressors, sedatives, paralytics, narcotics, antiarrhythmics) • Telemetry interpretation and cardiac monitoring (Draeger monitoring familiarity helpful) • Familiarity or willingness to learn advanced devices: IABP, Impella, CVP, arterial lines, Swan-Ganz, EV-1000, ICP monitoring • Comfort with rapid transfusion protocols and hypothermia devices (Zoll Thermoguard, BellMont rapid transfuse)
