Registered Nurse includes 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule. 12-hour night block schedule with unit-specific orientation (2 shifts). Hours per escalate and document appropriately. Chart thoroughly and efficiently in EPIC to ensure continuity of care and accurate handoffs. Support orientation and precepting activities; complete required pass/fail skills assessment during orientation.
Qualifications • Active RN license eligible for submission • Minimum 2 years of critical care/ICU nursing experience (Trauma ICU experience strongly preferred) • Current ACLS and BLS certifications; NIHSS required • Able to titrate drips and manage bedside critical care responsibilities independently • Comfortable with EPIC charting and reading centralized telemetry • Valid driver’s license required at time of submittal
Education • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required • BSN not required
Knowledge & Skills • Trauma and critical care nursing principles and rapid assessment • Telemetry interpretation and cardiac rhythm recognition • Vasopressor and sedation titration, and management of set-rate infusions • Familiarity with hemodynamic devices (Alines, Swan-Ganz, IABP, Impella, EV-1000) and ability to learn device use on the unit • Ventilator management basics and ability to troubleshoot respiratory equipment • Proficiency with EPIC for timely, accurate documentation • Strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and effective communication skills • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and support unit-based orientation and training
