Registered Nurse - ICU schedule set by manager, includes every-other weekend and holiday rotation (2 out of 3 major holidays); may float to other inpatient units (excluding Maternity/NICU). NIHSS certification required. Drivers license required at submission (used to verify 50-mile radius eligibility). Comfort and experience with EPIC charting. Ability to safely titrate drips and manage high-acuity patients. Willingness to complete orientation coursework and pass the open-book orientation exam with a 90% score. Flexibility to float to other inpatient units (excluding Maternity/NICU) and work holiday/weekend rotations.
Knowledge & Skills • Critical care nursing principles and ICU workflows • Ventilator management and respiratory care troubleshooting • Cardiac/telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation • Medication titration for vasopressors, paralytics, sedatives and antiarrhythmics • Familiarity with CRRT and renal failure management (on-the-job training available) • Experience or comfort with advanced monitoring: Swan-Ganz, ICP monitoring, EV-1000 • Basic familiarity with mechanical circulatory support concepts (Impella/IABP) and protocols • Competence with rapid transfuser systems, internal chemo administration procedures and emergency response
