Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience required; this is a hard stop. Travel nursing experience required; no first-time travelers. Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate (AWHONN Advanced preferred). NCC EFM accepted in place of AWHONN Intermediate. Proven ability to circulate in the OR for C-section procedures. Comfort working in a very high-risk unit with 1:1 or 1:2 patient ratios. Ability to work weekends and adhere to RTO restrictions at time of submittal.
Education: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license - California required.
Knowledge & Skills • Proficient in external fetal heart monitoring and interpretation of fetal heart rate patterns • Skilled in high-risk obstetric care and recognition of pre-eclampsia, eclampsia, multiples, and other complications • Experience managing magnesium sulfate therapy, insulin drips, and antihypertensive medications • Strong surgical circulating skills for cesarean sections and related OB procedures • Comfortable charting in Epic and maintaining precise clinical documentation • Experience working in large hospital settings and familiarity with MAGNET processes and standards • Excellent teamwork, communication, and crisis management skills
