Our Client is currently seeking LTAC for positions in Peoria, Illinois for a 3x12 Nights, 19:00:00-07:00:00, 12.00-3 shift. The ideal candidate will possess a current Illinois license. This is a RN position in the DMCC - LTAC Med Surg type:LTAC (Long Term Acute Care). You must have a Nursing License and at least 2 years of recent experience as a RN LTAC.

UnitMedSurg • # of Beds: 10 • Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:05 • Required certifications (i.e., BLS, ACLS?): BLS, ACLS preferred- not required • Common diagnoses/Types of patientsRespiratory failure, post surgical, wound care, IV antibiotics, post CVA, post trauma, cardiac patients • Experience or 'Must have' skills: PEG tube care/feedings, CVC/PICC/Midline usage and care, tracheostomy patients • Are RNs required to titrate drips?: yes • Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Heparin • Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment?House Supervisor available 24/7 • Are there nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit? Ratios? Duties?: Yes, 1:10 • RT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.) Are RNs required to do anything with these besides trouble shoot?: Yes to all. RT manages all respiratory equipment. • Are there tele/monitor techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors?: Yes. Housewide tele packs. Tele is monitored by the Monitor Tech stationed in the ICU. • Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?): 12 hr shifts, 7-730 • Weekend Requirement: Every other and to fill holes. • Holiday Requirement: Holiday rotation and to fill holes. • Is there Call or a Standby requirement?: Not at this time but subject to change. • Requirements: Qualified MS nurses may float to ICU, MS nurses will float to Acute Rehab from time to time. • Scrub Color/Dress Code/Scrubs provided?: Scrubs only. Only OSF approved t-shirts are approved. Any color. • How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: Classroom orientation per OSF policy and 2 shifts on the unit with a preceptor.
