Registered Nurse - Neuro Acute (Telemetry) includes weekends (4 weekend shifts per 4 weeks), holidays scheduled based on unit rotation.
Hours per adherence to site appearance/fit-test policies (natural hair color, no facial piercings, men clean shave for fit test).
Education
BSN preferred
Associate degree or diploma in Nursing acceptable if RN licensed.
Required certifications: BLS and ACLS.
Knowledge & Skills
Strong neurological assessment skills including cranial nerve checks.
Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia recognition.
Critical thinking and rapid clinical decision-making.
Sterile technique and procedural competence (Foley, central line dressing).
IV insertion and advanced IV skills.
Experience with Cerner electronic medical records.
Comfort with epilepsy monitoring and interpreting trend EEG contexts.
Familiarity with neuro diagnoses and post-op neuro patient care.
