Key Responsibilities: • Provide direct patient care in accordance with healthcare facility policies and procedures. • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. • Maintain accurate patient medical records and documentation. • Adhere to infection control standards and other regulatory requirements. • Educate patients and their families on healthcare plans and treatments.
Qualifications: • Active state licensure in Massachusetts (e.g., RN, LPN, PT, OT). • Minimum 3 years of experience in Pediatrics. • BLS/CPR certification (ACLS, PALS, or others as required by specialty). • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to adapt to different environments and work independently.

Must Float to Med/Surg or Post-Partum as needed. This client will not consider "local" travelers (who reside within 50 miles of facility). Patient Ratio 1:3 Beds: 3 This is a small community hospital (it is not a pediatric intensive care unit). The census is 3. There is not a second nurse scheduled for the unit. The maximum number of patients is 3. There is backup from Family Birthplace staff, and travelers have a security badge with a panic button to get immediate help. There are also respiratory and IV therapists that can cover the unit. Our experienced Pediatric nurses understand the unique needs of children and adolescents, and the importance of family involvement in their care. We provide "rooming in" for parents who wish to remain with their child during the hospital stay. To help make the visit more pleasant, we have on hand a variety of "in room" games and videos, as well as a play room for those with no contagious illness.
