Registered Nurse - PCU typically 3 shifts per week (36 hours), includes two weekend shifts per pay period; nights are often required and the role may float to ICU/MS/Telemetry. Unit-specific orientation provided (12 hours listed) and ongoing competency training.
Knowledge & Skills • Telemetry monitoring and advanced EKG interpretation • Cerner EMR documentation and electronic charting workflows • Familiarity with Philips cardiac monitors, Zoll R series, and Welch Allyn vital signs monitors • Experience with Pyxis medication dispensing and Sigma Spectrum IV pumps • Ability to manage invasive monitoring, arterial lines, and sheath care • Strong critical thinking for rapid response to STEMI/NSTEMI and post-op cardiac complications • Effective communication and teamwork in a fast-paced cardiac surgery/stepdown unit
